Agreement to Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using ShoeMate, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Description of Service

ShoeMate is a location-based app that helps adults with different shoe sizes for each foot discover other users with complementary sizes, view profiles, and message each other to coordinate potential swaps.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use ShoeMate
• You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement
• You must comply with applicable laws while using the service

Your Account

You are responsible for providing accurate information, maintaining the security of your account, and all activity that occurs through your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Impersonate another person or provide misleading information
• Harass, threaten, bully, or abuse other users
• Upload unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or violent content
• Share another person's personal information without permission
• Spam, scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service
• Use ShoeMate to facilitate fraud or illegal activity

User Content and Moderation

You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant ShoeMate a limited license to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms or create safety risks for the community.

User Interactions

ShoeMate only provides a platform for discovery and messaging. We are not a party to any arrangement, exchange, meetup, or transaction between users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other people and should always meet in safe public places.

Termination and Account Deletion

You may stop using ShoeMate and delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or create risk for other users.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

ShoeMate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShoeMate will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide additional notice in the app when appropriate.
